Cryogenic Temperature Sensors

HSL now provides Cryogenic Temperature Sensors from Scientific Instruments Inc. in the USA. Since 1967, Scientific Instruments has been a world leader in cryogenic temperature measurement for many applications.

The initial product was the world premiere of the Germanium Resistance Thermometer (GRT). The Apollo missions were first to use the “GRT” specifically on the Saturn V rocket.

With the growth of the cryogenic industry, Scientific Instruments has also expanded its product line. These include several new cryogenic temperature sensors and monitoring devices. These advances include the introduction of the Silicon Diodes during the 1980s. Also, Ruthenium oxide (RuO) thick film resistors, Platinum Resistance Thermometers (PRT), and thermocouples.
